How does the conference and knowledge exchange event series work?

Financial support for participating at the conference and knowledge exchange visits is available for 30 Norwegian, and 30 Hungarian participants.

If you are applying for financial support to travel to Hungary, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Please complete the call for contributions and/or your research cooperation interests (project idea, expertise offer, expertise request) in your profile.

Following your registration to the event, there will be regular e-mail updates explaining the information you need to submit to apply for travel support.

ATTENTION: for those accepted, the National Research, Development and Innovation Office will arrange and pay your travel and hotel.  No reimbursement is possible for flights / accommodation you book for yourself.

1. Registration | until 14 February 2018

2. Set up a profile

Create a strong profile which will raise your visibility to others on this platform.  Make it clear and concise. Your profile should describe who you are, what you can offer potential partners, and who you want to meet. A good profile will generate significantly more collaboration opportunities. Don't forget that your profile will be live and visible even after the event.

3. 15 February 2018 -  Future Research Challenges Conference

The Future Research Challenges conference will bring together Hungarian and Norwegian research centres of excellence. Participants may apply for presentation slots and/or posters by submitting an expression of interest.

Be active, not reactive. Browse published participants profiles and send your cooperation ideas ahead to those you want to meet at the event.

4. 16 February 2018 -  Knowledge Exchange Visits in Hungary

A number of research organisations in Hungary will welcome Norwegian visitors on the second day of the conference. The choice of visits will be announced in mid January.

Hungarian research organisations interested in hosting visits should indicate this in their expression of interest.

Norwegian researchers already interested in visiting specific research organisations in Hungary, should indicate this in their expression of interest.

5. March - April 2018 -  Knowledge Exchange Visits in Norway

Delegations of Hungarian organisations that have identified potential research cooperation opportunities will be offered a chance to return the visit to one (or more) research organisations in Norway to deepen the discussions started in Budapest for identifying research areas of mutual interest for future collaborations.

Norwegian organisations already willing to offer reciprocal visits in Norway are asked to indicate this in their expression of interest.
